Survival of the fittest. This seems to be the only traffic rule in this country. Or maybe I should say "survival of the biggest". The cars blows their horns all the way, to tell the bicycles to make way. The bicycles, especially the bodabodas, ring their bells to tell the pedestrians to make way. If a bodaboda rides across a square and there is a group of pedestrians in front of him, he rings the bell and always expects the group to split up to let him through, even if the group is large and the road is wide.
